Composite Bat Ban
Little League International has placed a moratorium on the use of composite bats in the Little League (Majors) Division and all other baseball divisions of Little League, effective immediately. For more information please go to the Little League FAQ website.

Licensed composite bats are listed here.

PITCH COUNTS
Coaches (Majors, AAA, and AA) -- please make sure you understand Little League pitching rules. There are pitch-based rules for the minimum number of days of rest BETWEEN outings and age-based restrictions on the maximum number of pitches allowed per game.

NOTE-1: Days of rest are days BETWEEN outings; e.g., 40 pitches thrown on Monday means the pitcher can't pitch in a game until Thursday - the two days of rest being Tuesday and Wednesday.

NOTE-2: somebody who catches 4 innings (or any part of 4 innings) or more can NOT pitch in that game.

About Us

WHO WE ARE
Newton West Little League, an affiliate of Little League International, Inc. (www.littleleague.org) runs a co-ed, youth baseball program for children aged 4-12.

OVERVIEW
There are five levels ('Divisions') of play:
Tee-ball
Farm (coach pitch)
AA (kid-pitch)
AAA
Majors
Placement is based on age, grade, and ability.

Evaluations (or 'tryouts') are held in the Fall and, along with the previous year's coach's evaluation (if available), are used to aid in proper team placement.

ELIGIBILITY
If you live in the Burr, Franklin, or Williams school district you are eligible to play in Newton West. You do not have to attend one of those schools but you must reside in one of those districts.
